    Your official GR Golfer Profile

I thought instead of having a "What's in the bag thread," or "Pictures of your Home Course," we could just do a complete profile. It will take a little while to figure out, but I think it will be really cool to know about the golfing "styles" of our fellow board members. Here is the format:

Always did, always had a small fade on my wedges... and draw on my long irons, my swing is a little outside-in with my wedges. When I am talking about 56* fade, I mean I start the ball 1-2 yards left of the target.

    Righty or Lefty?: Right
    Home Course: Amherstview
What's in the Bag?: Big Ben driver, Fusion irons, Hogan Cft Hybrids,Trusty Rusty Wedges, various putters inc stingray
    Handicap: 11
    Handicap Goal for 2006: 9
Strengths: Putting, middle irons, drives hit fairway.
Weaknesses: Driving distance is just avg, miss too many green on 2nd shot.
Your Typical Pre-Round Routine: Run to pro shop frantically while simutaneously putting bag on pull cart, shoes and grabbing balls/tees.
Your Golf Attire (usually): Flashy, no white footjoy's with brown strip for me, loud!

Range Rat or Gain Experience By Playing? Both (sorry thats not an answer, moreso play)
What Time of Day Do You Prefer Playing? Early morn, or twilight, especially nice sunset end to the golfing day.
Do You Get First Tee Jitters? Almost never, finally realized many people completely screw up, and although a few chuckles, it can happen to anyone, so if it could happen? and its not the end of the world? why make it worse? Greatly improved after that. Actually relish hitting in front of audience.
Your Overused Golf Sayings: "did you know statistics say that 100% of balls that don't make it to the hole, do not go in?"
Quiet Player or Loud?: Loud, talkative, in peoples swings, and trying desperately not to be that kind of person, especially since I used to get picky at noisy people, while being too loud myself.
Walk or Golf Cart?: Walk, unless a big gathering w/friends and...ahem...pops..then cart.
Favorite Golf Quotes: Competitive golf is played mainly on a five-and-a-half-inch course, the space between your ears. - Bobby Jones

Yeah I woke up Sunday morning speaking in tongues it was weird. However my hypothesis is this:It was the 12th which 1 and 2 are both prime numbers when added together make 3 also prime, 2 individual numbers that add up to 3 in around about way can be interpretted as 23,also prime. And to top it all off my number in hockey is the reversal of 12(21) .I don't know how long it took.

    Name: Mark

    Height: 5'10''

    Weight: 155 lbs

    Location: Clarksville, TN

Yrs. playing: about a year and a half

Righty/lefty: I do everything lefty except golf- righty

Home Course: The Links at Novadell

What's in the bag: check signature

    Handicap: 14

    Hc goal for '06: 10

Strengths: short game- chipping, pitching control, putting

Weaknesses: distance which is key goal for '06

Pre-round Routine: breakfast, bottle of water with vitamin, i drew a circle on my floor in my bedroom the width of a long tee and i have to make 25 seven footers in a row through the circle (and they can only go a foot and a half at most past the circle), then i imagine playing the first few holes perfectly on the way to the course- shot by shot by shot

Golf attire: either wind pants and polo or khaki shorts and polo- always a white shirt

    Club distances: 58*: 55-70 yds, 52*: 85-110 yds, PW: 115-125 yds, 9i: 125-135 yds, 8i: 135-145 yds, 7i: 145-155 yds, 6i: 155-165 yds, 5i: 165-175 yds, 4i: 175-185 yds, 3i: 185-195 yds, 5w: 200-215 yds, 3w: 215-230 yds, D: 255-270 yds

Natural ballflight: 3-5 yard draw, mid- high trajectory

Competitive play: just a few scrambles and best ball tourneys, although I am currently my churches defending champ!! won by four strokes!

Pick ball clean or divot: used to take huge divots but am working on picking more cleanly

Blades or cavity backs: cavity backs for about two more years, then I think i'll be ready for the blades

Links or tree-lined: i'll go with links except for when winds are above 20 mph, then i'll definately go with tree-lined

Range rat or play for experience: i'd rather play and learn that way unless i want to try something new or different. shot shaping and new swing thoughts should be tried on a range before put into action on the course

Time of day I prefer to play: I like around noon so the morning dew can dry up and the temperature can reach the day's high so i know i'll get the same conditions throughout my round

First tee jitters: only when I play with someone I haven't played with before

Overused golf sayings: "it's just a game"- not to me mofo, or "put er in there"- used by dad everytime i'm about to putt

Quiet or loud: quiet- whether I want to brag or blowing up on the inside, i do a good job of keeping it in

Walk or cart: walk definately- i always play better when i walk

Favorite golf quote: "it's fun walking around with a bag of sticks trying to hit a little ball in a rabbit hole some four hundred yards away"
