Where does everyone store their clubs?

I keep my bag in several different places, right now its here in the family room next to me, some times i take it up to my room, i used to keep them in the garage and basement but i once found a spider on my bag so no more of that, the majority of clubs stay in the bag, unless i'm focusing on one particular club that hasn't done well in the past in which case i carry it around and just mess around with it to get better feeling with it. i know rockford can't stop carrying around his wedge as i did for a long time before i mastered my lob wedge like i have

    just curious

Mine are in the trunk too. Is there anything wrong with clubs being in out the freezing cold for long periods of time?

Yeah it turns a 7 iron into a 8 iron thats why you were wondering why you were hitting it so short.

From April 1 to October 15th, mine are in my trunk. After that, in the basement.

I almost always have a spare wedge around the house tho.

mine are in my room right next to me now...

I think that storing in the cold garage/basement can cause golf balls to become harder and may have an effect on the irons too

After sex with the wife I kick her out of bed then put my clubs next to me. J/K but she is tired of cleaning club marks off the ceiling in the family room.

I usually keep them in my vehicle, so I can be ready on a moment's notice. However, I had some loose iron heads on several clubs after a couple of nights when the temperature dropped into the low 20's, so during the winter I'm keeping them in the garage at night and putting them into the car every day. In the summer, they're always in the car.
I assume that the cold temperature cracked the glue after the aftermarket reshafting job. The clubmaker reglued them for free.
    Seldom right, never in doubt......

Mine stay wherever the wife isn't tripping over them. I drop them in the living room and they always end up in the den. But after hearing how Bravo stores his, I'm thinking of trying the shaft-stuck-in-the-ground-around-the-water-hazard method like him.

I recently decided that I needed two fully equipped golf bags. March through November, I carry one in the trunk of the car. Every time I want to hit practice balls in the yard, though, I have to dig the clubs out of the car. So I decided to keep a second set in the garage, ready for instant practice action. Occasionally a family member comes over and might go for a round if s/he had a set of clubs to play with, so there's set #2. Right now, both sets are sitting in the dining room, because winter time is the time to reorganize golf bags. We don't dine formally very often, so it may be a couple of weeks before they get booted out. After that, it's probably the attic for one set, but it's a little bitter up there in the winter. I have room for one set in the den closet.

One night, i was sleeping and dreaming about Golf... Until i heard this noise in the basement, in the same room as my Golf Bag. I got up, took my Hockey Stick and went downstairs to see what the Hell was happening... I was sure somebody was there... To my surprise, it was my Clubs making noise and complanning that they were not playing enough...

So since then, they stay in the Garage, even during winter. They are close to the Garage front door in my pull Cart. So it makes it easy and very fast to pull them out during those appreciated weekly afternoons off from work. I can leave from my house and walk to the Course (10 houses from the Clubhouse).

    Yeah Baby!!!

    Club Storage

You can tell The Master is single! Not too many wives would want a set of clubs leaning against the bedroom wall I know mine wouldn't. I keep mine in my "Radio Room" (I have Amateur Radio equipment in there) In the summer my clubs rarely leave the truck of my car, although that is not the best place to keep them due to the heat buildup. But I have never had a head come loose, grips survive just fine. My club only has a few big lockers so I can store them there. HAPPY NEW YEAR From chilly Southern Ontario Canada

i actually had problems this past summer with club heads getting really loose. apparently the higher summer temps loosen up the adhesive and can cause some major issues. i decided to take the clubs out of the car after having to get two club heads reset.

Typically in the bag room of the SPCC. When I'm playing another course, they're in the car. In the winter, they're in the basement.

Club storage at the country club. In the winter they reside in the basement work shop, with the 450 or so clubs I have down there.

If you keep your clubs in the trunk of your car and you live in a scorching hot state (Arizona, Texas, Florida, etc.) or country, it can alter the frequency (Stiffness) of you shafts. Same thing if you keep you clubs in your trunk over the winter.

Sorry to burst your bubble but no it cant.

Unless your trunks temp gets up to 250* or higher it wont affect anything. Yes, if the shaft is frozen solid it will play stiffer (shatter), or softer if it is completely melted, but these are rather extreme exceptions. The only real worry is the epoxy breaking down, but again this needs heat in excess of 250* to occur. After 300* the resins in the graphite will begin to break down making the shaft useless.

Do some of you just make this **** up or do you actually believe this nonsense?

i keep my clubs in the oven on the lowest setting (on my oven 245*). that way the clubs are kept warm but the frequency (stiffness) is not altered.

A friend of mine actually had his set frequency matched or something so the shafts would be a 265 or something. A few months later, he thought his driver was playing a little funny and had it done again and it was a 250 I believe.

lets do a little test here:

    a - Your friend is a liar.
b - Your friend has no clue at all what frequency matching, or better yet, what frequency even is in relation to a golf club.
c - your friend is an idiot
    d - you're an idiot
e - all of the above

I always keep mine in the guest bedroom. That way if my wife isn't in the mood or kicks me out, I can sleep with my sticks in the guest bed. I just hope I'm not too rough on them, don't want to mess up their frequencies.

I can't believe the topic of this thread and how many replies it actually got.

Is this a golf forum or a nerd chatline?

In the car, or in the middle of the living room. I scatter putting aids throughout the house and let others pick up after me.

I keep mine in my bed...

Honestly, in a car can be bad...I didn't read the 2599 posts to see if someone already said this but the heat can loosen the epoxy.

Normally mine are in the garage. If I get spiders on them I normally brush them off and or kill them. I've personally never been afraid of spiders. Plus, I liked the smell of gasoline and automobiles when I pull out a driver.
