AlanGBaker...just admit you're afraid to play me

You whine and moan and I give into your terms. All you have to do to break even is break 110. You can win $2000 by breaking 110 and beating me. Seems like the best bet ever. Why won't you take this bet? Is it because you're full of crap or just a chicken sh.t. It has to be one of the two. Pick one.

And before you try and say these weren't your terms, I can produce a link to a post where you asked for these terms. You're a complete disgrace.

M3W, drop the part about loser paying the winner's greens fees. I think that is his excuse du jour.

Here is the official bet that he agreed to:

    1) $1,000 USD to Alan if he breaks 110 from the tips at Bulle Rock
    2) $1,000 USD to winner of heads up match between M3W and AlanGBaker
    3) Each player is responsible for their own greens fees, travel, etc.

If that's what it takes. Fine. I'll drop the green fees.

Odds are this match will never happen, but if by some miracle AGB shows up, IDs better be checked ... a pinch hitter (or two) could transform this colloquy into an interesting event

this has gone so long and has become suspect ...

the two contestants meet at the tee recognizing each other by the red (to match the tee) carnations attached to their simulated tour cart bags, and the matching iron covers. In fliping the peg to decide who has "honors" their eyes meet ... a spark, magic, each has found a kindred soul

You better believe it. That dude shows up without $2000 and I'm going to drag him behind my car all the way across Harford County. I'll let one of the caddies hold it.

You didn't "give into" anything. You changed them... ...yet again.

And no, if I break 110, but don't beat you, I'm out the cost of a trip to play golf with a dillhole.

And before you try and say these weren't your terms, I can produce a link to a post where you asked for these terms. You're a complete disgrace.
Since you think the terms are so fair, here's my proposition:

You come to west coast, put yourself up in a hotel. You choose a course within 3 hours of here (that includes enough of Washington State to get us to Chambers Bay; only 7700 yards from tips) and I'll bet you $1,000 that I can break whatever score is equivalent to the strokes over my rating that I'd get at Bulle Rock. IOW, since I'd get 14 strokes at Bulle Rock, your original bet was that I couldn't get around it in less than 24 strokes worse than my cap would allow. At Chambers Bay, that would mean I'd have to break 109, because I get one less stroke there.

Then we'll play a second match straight up for $1,000 with the loser paying the winners green fees.

    Sound fair?

Still can't believe Alan has ducked this. What a worthless SOB. He argues for these terms...I give them to him and now he has more excuses. The guy doesn't have an ounce of integrity.

Alan...you're looking terrible here. The bet has always been about Bulle Rock. You clearly never had any intention of coming to play. You're a liar, a coward, and likely a huge ****. You've lost all credibility here.

If the bet was about Bulle Rock, then accept the terms for the original bet:

I've got $1,000 USD that says I can break 110 at Bulle Rock.

You're the one who tried to change it away from that.

If you get to propose changes, so do I.

What's the matter? Are you afraid to play me and risk being out your expenses?

I had every intention of honouring every proposition I ever made or accepted.

Those were that I would bet you that I could break 110 at Bulle Rock if the stakes made it worth my while to come, and that for $1,000 on that bet, I would accept a counter bet of $1,000 for a match straight up.

You've never accepted those terms, and you've never stated how much you would be on me not being able to break 110 at Bulle.

Now, I've turned your proposal around.

If you're so sure that you'll win both bets, you stand to win something like $1200 - $1500,

so why are you so afraid to accept playing the match out here?

Alan...you're a douche. You have lost what little credibility you may have had. We all agree here that the bet that KoolCat and I stated (which you previously agreed to and requested) is fair. You're backpedaling. If you have an ounce of integrity you'd at least tell everyone you never intending on coming. I have serious doubts about you even having $2000 in cash to pay your losses, and you probably don't even have the money to get to Bulle Rock. A very sad and pathetic life you lead. Quite fitting for a Canadian.

Sorry, but given the number of times you got to change your tune, I'm entitled to change my as well.

If it's such a fair bet as you've claimed for me to come there, why is it different if you come here?

I'm not sure what "come one" means or whether there is some subtext the rest of us are missing.

But in either case, "Rock" is certainly a memorable place and certainly worth the visit if you're in the Mid-Atlantic region... check it out

76.9/135 off of "teal" @ chambersbay
74.4/147 off of black @ rock

aside from easier slope chambersbay sure looks pretty, what with the mountains and all, I'm not sure any of us easterners like the idea of "teal" tees

Whether your like teal or not, those tees are nearly 7600 yards...

Fact is that the handicap system suggests that Chambers is one stroke easier than Bulle for a 10.5 index.

So I agree that at Chambers, I have to break 109.

I'm afraid the credibility of both these DB's has sunk to an all time low. Real men make a bet, shake hands on it, and go out and play the farkin game. None of this online toing and farking froing, trying to weasel out of bets (Wiggle) or making counter proposals.

I think you both should admit that you have never had any intention of putting any money on the line, and this whole fiasco was a bit of online bravado that got out of hand.

Wiggles is the biggest joke, but unfortunately for you Alan you have allowed him to drag you down with him.

Geeze Hacker once i am in your corner. Call a shrink
    G H D
    When I'm in the shower
I'm afraid to wash my hair
'Cause I might open my eyes
    And find someone standing there
    People say I'm crazy
    Just a little touched
    But maybe showers remind me
    Of Psycho too much
    That's why

    (I always feel like)
    (Somebody's watching me)
    And I have no privacy
    Whooooa, oh-oh
    (I always feel like)
    (Somebody's watching me)

LOL - Are real gambler would have gotten allen to the course on the first bet and sharked him into a second before the end of the 110 round. If he played it correctly the second bet would have been an easy gambit.

I doubt either make their living out of gambling.

There is little interest in an Alan v Wiggles match up.

The real match up we want to see is Alan v Larry.

If Larry plays off his vanity cap of 6 then Alan is a dead cert. If he plays off his true handicap of about 30 then it's pick em.
I chose the road less traveled.

Now where the f#ck am I?

There is about equal (zero) interest in watching AGB play with himself, I'd expect he'd match up well against a woodchuck ...

As much as Alan was a part of the Bichslapfest he didn't sound like he was talking out his arse as much as Wiggles.......

I'll host the Allen v. Larry in Portland. I'm about mid way between Larry and Allen so they would both have to put out to get here. I have the course picked out. Rated 74.8 at 154. It's no cake walk. Here's the link to the card...

I don't buy that. Nobody actually liked 3Wiggles (RIP), but you have to admit, he know what he was talking about. Not everyone on this board had his integrity.
