Glendarin Hills Golf Club - Awesome
Had a chance to play this excellent course in Angola, Indiana in early October. Incredible condition for this time of the year in northern US.
By far the best value for dollar spent anywhere that I have played in both Canada and US..
We played it at 5878 yards, which usually is short for us and not knowing what to expect. Rating at that distance was 70.3 with a slope of 130. High values for such a short distance.
www.glendarinhills.com
The sloping terrain features 18 unique holes around five set of tees, ranging from 5000 to 7100 yards.
I enjoy golf in Michigan, Georgia, Hilton Head and of course all the expensive courses in the greater Toronto area

I played this course and found it unstimulating.

One of the nice things about review boards is that you get different opinions. I respect yours.
I have stayed at a number of resorts in Hilton Head that included golf other than the $35 dollar cart fee.
I consider paying $40 senior rate at Glendarin a better deal than what I had in Hilton Head where I only paid the cart fee.
Glendarin from IN will remain on our list of courses to play during our twice a year Michigan golf trip.

Welcome to GR OG. Something you might want to bear in mind is we really don't have different opinions around here. Maybe that's true of other boards, but here we pretty much walk in lock step. Occasionally this bothers a new poster, but if you stick around I'm confident you'll be agreeing with everything we say in no time.
Since this is the case, we kind of discourage respect for differing opinions. We tried it the other way and it just didn't work.
I for one firmly believe differing opinions are for the weak-minded. I hope everyone agrees with that.
GR lives...

Indiana
There are a lot of nice courses in Indiana. Some are better than others. I just moved to Westfield, IN. I guess I'm getting cheap in my old age, but I still like to play a decent course for under $50. Come to think of it...I've always been cheap...except on vacation. Then I break the piggy bank and go for it! I will try Angola. Sounds like a good one for a 22 like me.
