    My problem continues...

I am still hitting hooks and full draws this year dispite my work in the offseason. I am in Myrtle beach now and i hate to spoil a nice week so i hoping to get a few words of advice from you guys.

Pretty basic problem. I am making good contact, my ball flys striaght at the target at first and then my ball just draws and draws and draws. Sometimes its a full out hook. My clubface is square in my backswing, but when i get to impact the face is closed. This is a problem with all my clubs. I also noticed today that i was hitting some of my shots off the toe of my clubs.

Whatever the cause is, it has been my problem for well over a year now, and i just cant change my ball flight. I cannot hit a fade if i tried with a full bucket of balls either. I have worked very hard with my alignment this past offseasn, and i was told today that my setup looks spot on. I also have a nuetral grip and i have worked with the momentus so i feel my grip is good.

Please help guys. ANY thoughts or advice is NEEDED!

The fault could be just about anything in your swing and almost impossible for us to identify it. Have you checked to make sure your fundamentals are sound? Most often, a misalignment in the setup (shoulders, arms, hips, thighs, and feet) can produce erratic shots.

For me, I like to work on the mini-swing first. If I'm not liking my ball flight, I do mini-swings to see where my ball is going. If I'm doing something wrong, I check my swing and make corrections.

all I can say is that for me when i hook or have a severe draw its because of one of three things.

the ball is to far forward in my stance.
i am swinging to far on the inside
im swaying forward through the shot.

I don't know what your swing is like, but hope that helps if you try one of those. otherwise play your draw and have fun at the beach.

Personally, I'd work on takeaway. Sounds like that may be the case after reading your info. Stick something on or in the ground straight behind your target line. Set up 2 clubs for your swing path and your foot and shoulder alignment (like railroad tracks). Then, work on taking the club straight back at whatever you placed behind at the target line. Exaggerate it a ton and hit a fade. If you're decent at all you should be able to hit a fade with a whole bucket of balls. Just exaggerate the crap out of everything. Anything you can think of that may cause a draw do the opposite of it times 100. That's about all we can tell you on here without seeing a swing.

It could also be the release you have with your wrists. If they start to turn over too quickly it will cause the ball to go left. Check you swing around the moment of impact (slightly before and slightly after) and see how quickly your hands snap over. It should be a smoth transition all the way through your back swing. You may need to video tape yourself to really see what happens.

Yeah, and be sure to turn your stance more to the right, too. You don't want to have just
    SMALL hook, do you?
    Seldom right, never in doubt......

That's what Lee Trevino did, he kept pushing everything to the right, so he just started aiming further left...worked like a charm. lol

Seriously, though...try using a weaker grip. If your grip is too strong, that can encourage a hook.

    Try hitting a push

I would suggest that you take another lesson after your trip, but for now, just try hitting a push, or at least feeling like you are hitting a push. This should keep your arms extending toward the target through impact and should keep the face a bit more open at impact.

    Enjoy your trip.

Just make sure your clubface is square during the takeaway and at the top of the swing. Also since you said that u were toeing on occasion, the problem is probably caused from you coming down on a plane too far inside. Halfway down, make sure the butt end of your club is pointing at the ball.
