I agree. Work on the Indian skills, not the arrow sharpness.

    Talking well...thanks

i agree with both of you.

now, i'm buying a new set of blade irons #2~PW...for a grand (unless i find an excellent used set), so i might as well not over look any potentially signigficant details. granted, i'll not know the difference now, but i'd like to think i would in a year or two and rather not buy again unless them groves have wornout.

my main concern is the flex point.

    Shaft is key

I disagree with the advice to ignore the shaft. Read the most recent issue of Golf magazine - getting the right combo of shaft and head for your swing is potentially a 10 stroke swing.

However, your likelihood of finding someone who has played these particular shafts is small. With the irons I am considering, I will try to demo the iron/shafts and even buy a single iron to demo/shaft before I make my purchase decision.

    Titleist 670s

my pro advised me to buy Titleist 704.CBs...a wise advice, makes me trust him even more

for me golf is an irrational endeavor, a walk in the sun (occasionally with a cold beer or two) with friends or with friendly strangers and perhaps getting in a few good shots (and win a wager).

modern day zen "gardening" for those of priviledged us that enjoys ripping out a perfectly healthy lawn and examine to see if that half-dollar divot was in front of that ball or towards the back.

well i'm too lazy or busy golfing to drive over to another golf place that may have 'em. most local stores carry permimetered or CB irons...the best that i've seen in my local Coplands is the MP-32s (nice!).

so i spent $55 on a 4-iron Titleist 690.MB with S300, closest proximity i can easily get my hands on: it's tough, but it's manageable: i like it...alot. i can see that from testing other Titleist clubs that flex could help for more consistancy of trajectory so i may go with R300s, but while i may foolishly ignore my pro on the choice of the iron head i'd rather apply what he advised me on the shaft (light and stiff steel).

    Ok Ironman, I had DCI981's with Rifle 5.0 and now have 822OS's w NS950 - S.

Biggest difference is weight, NS-950 lighter, both shafts felt similar & give similar flight. 950 a tad more responsive. 5.0 a touch dead. Nod to 950's because of weight & liveliness.
Hold my Beer. I'm going to hit a high fade over that tree....

If you want a light shaft with the flight of Dynamic Gold then maybe you could try Dynamic Gold SL. I've never tried it but it's supposed to have the same flight characteristics and quality at 20 grams lighter.
