Ogio Shling
Anyone seen or tried ogio's latest technology? Found on both "vision" and "flight" bags. I'm a walker with an aging back and need a lighter but resourceful bag. Supposedly, it helps from hunching which is common in all dual strap bags. Looks a little futuristic but hey whatever helps. Any help or opinions welcome!

I use it... carried it about 4 rounds now. I carry it VERY loaded. Too many balls, 14-17 clubs (3 for my son at times) and with winter/rain gloves cell phone etc. It's excellent for the back and posture. It's not so excellent on the front pectorals. It tends to dig in a little where the fronts terminate. One other person who has tried on the bag (mine) felt the same way.
I have the Flight SS, so it's the lighter of the two, and it's a fairly nice bag overall. I'm not 100% sold on the Shling however. Time will tell. It is very easy to put on take off. VERY.
Ogio bags are made well, mine needs stronger springs in the legs to retract them better. It seems like it's already a year old in that regard. I like the Woode system, ok, I actually demand either Woode or Kubuki type systems. I preferred the last Woode system I had with the ridges to keep clubs in place better. I think it's called a Woode II.
Maybe if I carried it slightly lighter it would pan out better for me, but I refuse to stop carrying beer. The typical Izzo straps handly that load just dandy. If only they could stop me from leaning forward while I walk =)

I did not purchase one based on trying it @ Golf Galaxy.
Maybe it's just me, but it did not feel comfortable once on my shoulders. IDK if it would feel more natural if it had clubs in it though.
Definitely easy to get on/off, and that would help cure my laziness of only putting one strap on. However, it felt like it was slipping off when I had it on, and I assumed that feeling would only be exaggerated when loaded.
I'm now leaning towards one of the Datrek bags, or just an extremely light carry bag.

It doesn't slip off at all, or ever come close to feeling like it will slip off even. It ensures that it will stay in place by sinking it's talons into your pectorals. It's really not that bad... it feels very good on the back or I'd return it. I'd rather have a small pain in my front upper body than a back issue anyday.

Sun mountain has crappy club management systems in their bags. Once you go Woode or Kubuki you'll know what I mean.

God I couldnt agree more. My sun mountain bag is ***** to get clubs in and out of.

I put one on at the store yesterday and it felt weird. Do the clubs get in the way when trying to take it off? I have a Mizuno stand bag and it's getting old and beat up. Clubs are getting harder to take in and out as the plastic rods sometimes start to come out with club. The one thing I like a lot are the pockets. I can unzip the the pocket where my drink is with my left hand no problem and put it back and zip it up.

thanks for the replies. I tried out the flight bag this weekend at golfsmith. Not bad but not for me. I ended up ordering the ogio edge bag. How's the quality of ogio? The woode system is definitely nice and it's the main reason why I'm letting go of my titleist x67 bag. Thanks again guys!

Their quality is top notch. Only typical weakness I've spotted over the years is a tendency for the leg springs to be weaker than optimal.
No, the clubs don't play a part at all in putting it on or off, as long as you grab the shling handle it really is as easy as the video. As long as you clear the far shoulder bar BY your neck, it's cake.
