Cleveland Niblick goes in Edgeys Bag for 2009

    Hi

The Lovett Wedge has a friend for this year the Cleveland Niblick No 10 42 Degee. Played with it today and it got me up and down 4 times and can be hit 120yds on a fill hit, great fun and shot a 79, 7 over

I know everyone at GG will be accepting and chuffed as 60% here are cool with graphite shafts in Irons.

In fact i suspect many may consider putting one into play so heres the link http://www.clevelandgolf.com/UK_nibl...od_wedges.html

So how is the Niblick more effective than your PING Zing/G2 9 iron?

Putter set up, more upright, heavier head, more bounce, Increased heel-toe blade length, perimeter weighting, and CG depth increase MOI to improve consistency, zip grooves MUCH EASIER TO USE

Its great fun to use, and i now feel my bag is hybrid complete. I played to 7 today and the Niblick played a core part as my chipping/pitching had been poor till its arrrival.

I like it and know you could too.............................

Those PING monstrosities look just like a Niblick anyway. To be honest I can't see any discernible difference.

Loz i am sick of your mafia style threats and allegations and noted racist comments against the English.

I am prepared to post photos of my bag to proove your paranoid rants wrong. If i do i expect a full, grovelling, humilliating apology and photos of your self NAKED, for Camp Freddys benefit, obviously

If it would spare us from having to look at more photos of your clubs, I'll apologize now. However, providing naked photos so some pervert can jack it and stalk are out of the question. Besides, I'm really 17. You don't want to risk it.

Edgey, my English friend, you know I love you and I could care less what you play, but that has to be the ugliest wedge I have ever laid eyes on. Good luck . . . . .

what wedge? i didnt see one. All i see is one of the best looking PIngs i have ever seen. You are now set to garden anywhere in the world. There's no ground you cant chop up with that baby... love the finish.... will it last through sandy soils? Probably not so you may want to powder coat it or something. what fine piece of graphite did you put in that piece of shi.t......errr ... art?

    Omen, does vomit hurt computers?

When the golf shop I work for sharted carrying the Niblick, I tried one, loved it, and went on to sell a bunch of them. For some reason, after about a month, the magic went out of it. I tested it side-by-side with an different irons, a putter from off the green, and a sand wedge. What I have found is that I am better off either putting or taking the same swing and changing clubs than I am with one club for chipping at multiple distances. I think I heard Ken Venturi say that about 15 years ago. Why did it take me so long to listen?

Omen's been saying the same thing for years as well... one motion multiple clubs = more consistent results.

I'll never understand why so many golfers have a difficult time chipping. There are only a few things you need to do correctly and they're not hard.

If you can't learn to chip how can you possibly learn the full swing?

Edgey, I humbly request a picture of your golf bag. I refuse to believe you are bagging a Niblick. Your bag is so gay it sh!ts rainbows.

So you should be aware that Edgey's initial post indicated loft in 3 separate places.

By the way, I don't mean to suggest GHD isn't a dimwit.

Well played, but it was in the initial post before the response. Besides, the point here is to instigate Kiwi the Instigator which in itself is ironic.

Ironic indeed! I didn't think to check his sig. You can actually see it in the picture too if you look hard enough without getting nauseous.

What's the big deal with the Niblick?

Doesn't it look exactly the same as a PING Zing or a G2 head? i.e. an oversized monstrosity?
