I don't really know how to explain this good but here goes. My TM R5 driver face looks like its spider webbing. Like I hit a paint ball or something to that effect. It looks like there is a slight point of impact then kind of flairs outward. Really noticeable from Top to bottom but not so much on the sides. The impact spot is not directly in the center of the face, its a little bit slightly toward the heel. I have pictures but they really don't show up and I do not know how to ad. Anyone seen or herd about this happening? I noticed I wasn't getting the yardage I normally hit, but though it might be the club as for I have not had the R5 that long.
Early R5 and R7 faces were notorious for being damaged. Luckily TM has a really good warranty policy. I cracked my R7 outright and they gave me a brand new R7 460 as a replacement!
I tried to find a TM driver I liked, but any time I swung abouve about 40% I caved the face in. Strictly for short knocking fags.

Do you think this qualifies as cracked? Where would be a good place to take it, any place that sells it? I bought it at a golf outing out of state.
It looks like it's starting to crack. Go to an authorized TM retailer and see what they say. Try and go to a smaller independent store. The big box stores probably won't give as good of service. They may not do anything but Taylormade is better than most when it comes to warranties.
Kind of looks like a butthole, IMHO. I think you're fine. My driver looks similar (although those marks are of course in the dead center), and I think it's from hitting sandy range balls.

Yeah those are called scratches not cracks. I get them when I hit balls on a newly sanded bermuda grass range.
They're probably right about it being nothing more than minor scratches. But if over time the image begins to look more like Jesus, put the club down and call Oprah.
Negotiate something lucrative. Let me know if you need my help. Standard fee and it would pay for itself many times over.

This is plausible but in order for it to fly he'd have to post a miracle round with that club including a hole in one on a drivable par 4 the day after he found out about some sort of personal tragedy. Larryrsf or Kim Jong il can help with posting the miracle round.
