I've thought about approaching the people at Ping and recommending they put together a golf resort named Pingville. The pro shop will only stock Ping clothing, Ping clubs and Ping balls. This will be after I've convinced Ping to get back into the ball business. It will be the best course in the world and each hole will be named after a Ping club. #1 will be the Zing, #2 will be the Anser, #3 will be the Nelli, etc. I'm thinking 36 holes and the 19th hole will be called Karsten's Pub and the Eye 2 Room. The Eye 2 room is trendier and will host after hours parties.
Drinks will all have Ping history built in. Some of the drink names will be: Rum and Zing, Eye 2 and Coke, Anser on the rocks and, of course, the Pick Me Up.
Special packages include a tour of the manufacturing plant, one night's stay in the Karsten Suit, and $50 worth of tokens at the Little Ping Feather Casino and Reservation.
I've got a conference call with John Solheim at 3pm sharp today.
I love the concept! I will book a trip to this soon to be luxioruous 6-star resort. One idea that you could suggest at this conference is to have all those Mizzie fan boys employed as bell hops, waiters, etc.

I really don't think you want one of us Mizzie fanboys parking your car or serving you food. We'd gladly take your luggage, there might be something we could use.
You forgot to have a fridge full of sarsparella, and a Dungeons and Dragons game in the clubhouse to give the Ping players something to do if it rains.

What is sarsparella? Thanks for the ideas. John Solheim and I just had a great 5 minute conversation and I told him I'd send him some follow up ideas. It was difficult to get all of my ideas across to him. He kept putting his hand over the phone and was yelling to someone about security and blocking calls. Well, time to get back to work, now that I'm one of Pings "in" customers I think this project should kick off by early next year. It's great to be a part of Ping's team.

I think it's what you call root beer.

Ah Pingville... you remind me of a small town outside of Lancaster PA in the Amish country , it's called "Intercourse"... I guess we won't be able to find any virgin there

I dated an Amish girl once. It sucked going to the drive-in. You ever smell a 15-year old horse after it's eaten popcorn and bon bons?

I think Intercourse is in the same township as Blue Balls.
Getting back to my Pingville idea, all of the wait staff will also have Ping names. I'm thinking of Darby or Nelli for the cart girl. The bag boys are Isopure and Red Dot.
He wasn't a very big fella.. what if the suit doesn't fit? and... do they clean it?
all in all, I think a suite would be better.
I think Ping needs to re enter the golf ball business. I think they came out with multi-colored balls at the wrong time. Now they'd be all the rage. Check out all the bright colors people are sporting these days. I know I'd buy them.
Of course, Pingville will have limited membership and a review committee will do background checks on all prospective members. This includes a bag check for GFF and other items that will slow up play.
LOL - loved the picture JT but tell me, did you really need to turn over THAT much soil? Wouldn't the Pings i3 or S59 'blade' ploughs have been big enough?
well, it was originally called sasparilla, and root beer came along later for those who couldn't pronounce sasparilla or otherwise embarrassed themselves. It was a Mexican concoction from the licorice root, I believe, but Google will resolve all questions.
it is certain that "root beer" came later. "sasparilla" or "sarsaparella" was the name.

Intercourse PA. Great name and a trophy prize for old paper money collecters. I like to dabble in it....Great name for a town...PA has some great names for towns.

I was half asleep when the ghost of Ben Hogan appeared before me. He touched me and told me that 'if they build it, he would cum.' Bless all things Ping......
Update: I tried calling John Solheim at least 20 times today. For whatever reason my calls are directly going to security and some guy tells me to hold while he pushes a bunch of buttons. I've heard the Solheims have a sense of humor so this must be some kind of initiation. I love it. Anyway, I'm going to call John first thing in the morning about my Pingville idea. I'm sure he's been thinking of it too. My dream job is to go to work for Ping and be head of ball design. I'm thinking quad colored balls. I'll be going after the majors ball manufacturers and thinking big. I'm in for the long haul. I'll check in again tomorrow.

I always thought the Amish were a wild bunch. They have hid behind the simple appearances and horse drawn buggies, but what they do whenever they go into their handmade barns and close the doors must be very exciting indeed. I may have finally found my religion.

I,m the proud new old owner of some orange dot Ping eye 2, 2-lw becu irons , that included a becu Ping pal 2 putter. Ping grips in nice shape. I think I like the flatter lie a little better. So I sold the black dot set, All my Mizuno stuff is 1 to 2 degrees flat. I could make a living buying and selling becu pings.

Yes, SBS... U have found your religion...
I worked for a big company in Lancaster PA for 21 yrs but never had a chance to hang around those wild Amish girls, but one of my friends swear by them... he' used to hang around with one Amish girl and he told us in the office that one B'day morning he woke up knowing that she was giving him the best blowjob... it was so good that he decided to marry her after that

Congratulations 12sandwich, you are now a part of a brotherhood and, if you want, the Ping Eye 2 secret society. There's an initiation with some blood letting but it's all part of the fun. Let me know how the BeCu Ping Eye 2's work for you. I'd be interested to hear what you paid for them and what shape they are in. The LW alone is often worth $200 if it's in good shape. I wouldn't sell it though because you can't put a price on shot perfection. What do the shaft labels say? Are the Microtaper or ZZ-Lite? Also, is this the square groove model. Inquiring minds need to know.
Will Pingviile have a kick ass rollercoaster? If so, then I'm in.
Yes, of course. It's called the Ping Zing and the g-forces become greater and greater as the ride progresses. It starts out at G2, then goes to G5, then G10 and the last turn is a full G15. People have reported feelings of Rapture after the ride. The latest findings show a feeling of Rapture V2 (twice the normal Rapture).

From a scientific standpoint, with a G-15 g-forces, one could have a great orgasm without an erection

It doesn't matter how many Blow's or Home Despot's they build; this place rocks; they just built a Blowe's a 1/2 mile away, but you cannot substitute for a good lumberyard...

Ok, the black dot set I had was nice. Almost to nice to play. I doubled my money, they went for over 8 hundred, on fleabay. So I,m already looking for another set, I see a newly listed, fuzzy pictures, only 2 photos, buy it now 395.00 orange dot set # matching 3-sw. lob wedge and 2 iron added later, and a Ping pal 2 putter in becu as well. They are not the original shafts, but the 3-pw are some regular flex Apollo in steel. They look like rifles. 2 iron is zz lite. Sw, Lw are TT wedge flex shafts. All grips are new Ping. Both sets are the original square groove models, not the plus models. This orange dot set still has nice grooves. And I bought a set of Nice Mizuno mp 52 irons 5-pw, and a few cool wedges. With Ping eye 2 money profits. So I essentially replaced the set I sold, with a more modern shafted set. Plus another set. Plus I may sell the Lob wedge, as it has someones initials on the hosel, that Ping put on. I may list, with a buy it now of 150. Did you know some claimed plus no plus, becu sets are floating around? Which is the original grooves, with the more modern lofts. Is that what plus no plus meant? You should be the mayor of Pingville.

150 for second hand LW? I am missing something here? So many better wedgesaround which can be picked up brand new for less than a hundred. You must be dreaming.

No not really dreaming on this one. They routinely fetch 2 to 3 hundred. The sand wedge goes for 1 to 2 hundred. I guess there getting more and more difficult to find nice, and not to many to begin with, drives the market up on becu pings.

I find that absurd. You could get a brand new 3 wedge set of top of the line Clevelands or Vokeys for that. Or half of one of Dorky's wedges which play ALL the shots.

There almost in a league of there own, as far as holding there value, collectibilty, and you can play them if you dare. I dont know of another club that goes up in value. I,m on my 3rd set in 9 months. Made money on 2 and looks like #3. I need a reason to buy a red dot set. Funny sh!t

NAH, all you have to do is check out ebay. A ping eye 2 sq groove LW in excellent condition will fetch over $200 easily. I've done it myself on Ebay. I don't really see the need for the eye 2 lw because it's 61 degrees and the SW is 57.5 degrees. The SW is the most versitile one I've ever played. You can open it up for a lob, square it up for a punch and then jimmy it down for the shot on the low down. Seriously, if you have the means...I highly recommend.

$200 for an old, outdated Lob wedge??? You must be kidding!!!
NAH bought a whole set of PING knockoffs for $110 including a Lob wedge he could sell separately.
So what you are basically saying is that Ping fanboys, as well as having strong stomachs and being able to look at Pings without bringing up their lunch, are also gullible, easily duped suckers who are easy to separate from their cash. Scotty Cameron would be proud of this.

Correction Kiwi, I kept the lob wedge, it was the only club that was any good (it was the only club that wasn't a Ping knock off).
I'm sure that in the main part the guys who sell those Pings are the devotees who paid top dollar for it when they acquired it, but there must be a few sharks out there who get their hands on plenty of Ping LWs and hang on to them to push the price up, knowing there are plenty of gullible suckers out there who wll fight over one when it goes on ebay.

There was a guy asking 600.00 hundred the other day, for a lob wedge. I think its gone. It was a stronger lofted original square groove model. The almost sad part is , the guy I sold the black dot set to, may breakup the set, which was a rare 4 digit serial # 1-lw, and make 300-600 dollars, or more. Then they have this Ping fan club were they chat it up and find there lost # matching club

I would suggest that the GFF players are the ones that are easily duped. They pay $899 for a set of forged blades they can't hit. Then, in two years Mizuno has a new version out and the old rusted clubs aren't worth a lick.
Meanwhile, the Ping Eye 2 prices are soaring because the demand exceeds the supply. The Invisible Hand is working here folks and I'd be willing to wager a multi-colored Ping ball that if Adam Smith had a choice he would have played the Eye 2s.
A set of Ping Eye 2s in the bag is a statement that you're a player but not a foolish one. A pair of Ping Eye 2 sand wedge and lob wedge indicates that you have stepped over the boundary that seperates the GFF fools from the enlightened. I am enlightened and I will continue to blaze a path of glory for the Ping army.

I hope so as it would prove Dorkman's still alive.
That's the latest Mizuno Blade offering. I believe you need to read my post more thoroughly, for if you had the first time you would have noticed that I said they don't sell for nothing after the new model comes out. You have wasted two posts on this that have amounted to nothing. In the future, please be more....as GW would say...prudent.
The S57 is an irregularity. It's common knowledge that they made a mistake with this design. It's an excellent iron but a lot of people could get enough distance out of them due to the weaker lofts and stiff shafts.
Hey, I have nothing against Mizuno irons. A great ballstriker like myself can appreciate the feel. However, I find the feel of the Ping s59 far superior to anything Mizuno has ever offered. Well, maybe an exception would be the Mizuno MS-9 with DG R300 shafts. Thems were the bomb.

I'd like to take a moment to point out some of the biggest inventions in golf..all created by Ping:
1. The heel / toe weighted putter. Prior to the invention of the Ping Anser almost all putters were heel weighted. Ping revolutionized the putting game with this invention and every manufacturer has copied the Anser model. Usually it's an exact copy.
2. Perimeter weighted irons. Ping was the first to come out with perimeter weighted irons and the first to have a successful line that went on to be the greatest selling iron of all time (not to mention very cool looking in your bag)....The Ping Eye 2.
3. Color coded lie and fitting system. The first and still the best.
4. Multi-colored golf balls. Many experts agree that if timed better this would have taken over the market.
5. The teeny weeny beard. Karsten was the first to sport a two inch by two inch beard that took beard enthusiasts by storm. We all want one...but can we all grow one? Are we man enough?

6. The built in Barf Bag dispenser that comes as standard with the Ping Hoofer. Didn't really catch on with other OEM's as there was no real need but an absolute necessity with Ping equipment.

7. Karsten neck brace model ICU2UHAK to prevent neck strain caused by hanging your head in shame because you are so terrible you have to play Pings just to shoot a decent score.
8. Karsten prosthetic testicles (with ball-sack, featuring authentic hair-like detailing) so that you can feel like a man without ever having to play the same clubs as one.
9. Ping headcovers with newly adapted "Fleshlight" collar to keep your clubs as safe as your course management strategy. Pu$$y scent optional. Comes with 4 300ml tubes of professional grade lube for the wallets of all the tight-arses who hate paying up at skins, especially when they get beat by blade wielding "choppers".
10. Optional D-ring Lamkin Tour Velvet grips, to further personalize your shovels. Available in all colors of the rainbow (all at once) to please even the most feminine ditch diggers. Also available in camo/chrome combo for those who wish to compensate for their penile inadequacies.
11. Shafts labeled in Cialis, Viagra, and Levitra flexes for easier fitting identification and customization. Finally get the shaft that's right for you!
