    Hank Haney Plane Finder

    Hi guys
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all. Being thats its that time of year I usally go out and buy myself a little something that can help the old golf game. I am looking at the plane finder by Hank Haney and was wondering if anyone has tried it. I will have plenty of time over the winter to try it out since I just had a partial knee replacment. So if anyone can let me know it woul be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

I tried the plane finder and one time I ended up in an aviation museum and the next time I found myself in South Dakota. What that has to do with golf? I have no clue.

Aye. Mongrel's the name and cheaper is my game. I've not yet spied the subject device on the telly however my own plane finder has worked real good for me for most of my life. You hear the sound of the plane and look ahead of where you think its sound is coming from. This is because of the differential between the speed of sound (approx. 700 mph at sea level) and the speed of the plane. If the sound is of reciprocating petroleum-fueled engines, the distance will be less than that of the kerosene-burning jets. Helicopters, however, are real sneaky bastards but since they are not planes, it don't matter. Merry Christmas to you'all.

Mongrel, are you sure somebody wasn't hitting the hammer driver when you heard the jet sound?

That would only occur under two circumstances: the jet breaks the sound barrier or the jet gets hit with a missile and explodes. Although I've experienced both of those (inside a jet once) and watching from sea level for the latter, on neither occasion was I playing golf. The primary sound the Hammer makes upon impact is the grunt of the human wielding it. The louder the grunt, the farther the ball goes. One shaft flex fits all. Count on it!!

Here on GR we follow the example set by the Greatest golfer in the world, Tiger Woods, meaning we should all play blades, use a 2 iron or 5 wood rather than hybrids & use a short putter i.e. no belly/broom handles allowed. Tiger sacked Haney and on this basis you should also dump any ideas about getting that plane finder.

    Your welcome

    Merry Xmas

Remember when Hank Haney made that frantic effort to be the one to fire Tiger before Tiger fired him? That was pathetic. Haney knew Tiger was growing tired of him becoming a media hound, making shows with Barkley and writing books. The show with Barkley was much worse than Fluff springing out of a suitcase. Haney and Feinstein are probably regular old pals by now.

Haney will forever walk in the hall of shame in my book. How dare he pretend that he wanted to quit working with Tiger. Yeah, right, actually "wanting" to quit working with Tiger. LOL.

Barkley is such a moron that, although it would be a really cool name for a new dog, I could never bring myself to name it as such because of the human most associated with it. But I bet Hany was forced to take him on by the Sponsors who thought having the "star" would bring more minority interest to the series. As for me, I liked the Rush Limbaugh segments the best. As a matter of fact, I would never do any banking with Barclay's because it sounds too much like Barkley.

    The Plane Finder Works!!!!

I just wanted to provide everyone with an update on the Hank Haney plane finder. This thing really does work. I've been looking for my plane forever and this gadget discovered it, hidden amongst a large pile of wood shavings. I'm writing Hank a thank you letter as we speak.

I heard it can separate peanut M&Ms from the plane ones. Run a test for me, if this proves to be true, then I'm sold.
In related news, I also read that Tatoo used this device to detect when passengers were arriving to Fantasy Island.

Not sure I have seen the said gadget but is it this huge circular thing tilted over that you stand in the middle of? That thing costs hundreds of dollars and looks about as useful as tits on a bull.
Personally I think gadgets are a waste of time and are no substitute for getting a proper lesson from a good teacher followed by practice and playing.

Darn! A "Plane Finder". That could come in handy after a fine night of heavy drinking.

Indeed, the thread contains all the key elements in just a few posts: Tattoo, Payne Stewart, and the long-awaited return of JetDriver whose round trip to Bahrain must have been delayed due to WX or politics or some such. Bravo, Dant.

Did you and Alan ever resolve your differences of opinion regarding how certain airplanes land?

I believe the difference was regarding delta winged planes. Of course the unemployed, uneducated, basement dwelling bum knew far more about the subject than some silly old fully qualified commercial pilot.

These things can only be resolved with the confiscation of Alan's prescription canadian medication. (weed)
